KOH Library & Cultural Center, Sacramento -- Israel Cultural Desk Presents:

My Israel Trail:
Finding Peace in the Promised Land

Aryeh Green

Inspiring and dynamic speaker and author

Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 12 PM (PST) – on Zoom

Aryeh Green is the author of the book My Israel Trail about hiking the 700-mile Israel National Trail (“Shvil Yisrael”) and meeting personal challenges.  A well-known and popular speaker, Aryeh will share with us some reflections on his adventures on the Shvil and the lessons he learned on the hike.

During his two-month solo trek across the land of Israel, winding through the Negev desert, the mountains of the Galil, the hills of Jerusalem and the beaches on the coast, Aryeh recovered from his devastating divorce and re-discovered his love for our country, the land and its people.  Aryeh offers an inspiring and uplifting story of personal growth (with lessons also for regional peace), with photos and videos.

Born in Washington DC, Aryeh grew up in San Francisco, studied at UC Berkeley, and made Aliya in 1984.  A former senior advisor to Natan Sharansky in Israel’s prime minister’s office, Aryeh is an IDF veteran and a business executive who has held various management positions in the private and public sectors; he currently helps run EnergiyaGlobal, a Jerusalem-based renewable energy platform for Africa.

The event is free; suggested donation of $5-18 via Acceptiva.  To purchase an autographed copy of My Israel Trail at a special program price of $25 and for more infomation please contact Dorit Fridman at doritfg@gmail.com or Taliah Berger at (916) 541-3720; in Israel contact Aryeh at aryeh.green@gmail.com.
